This game actually took a few days for me to beat so it's worth the money. And even though I finished the game, I've still enjoyed playing to try and get all the Trophies and Achievements. In the non timed mode it is relaxing and in the timed mode it gets exciting trying to finish all the tasks before the time runs out. The little animals are cute, and trying to keep all the plants alive, and animals happy while filling orders is challenging. I am an old lady and like playing it, and I'm sure children would enjoy it too. One of the things I like is being able to set up your farm the way you want to and learning what works and what doesn't. At the end of the game it saves a picture of your farm, so that if you had set it up and liked it you can review it when you play again and decide what might work better. Other games that I have played over the years that you may also enjoy are the Diner Dash games, of course, and Plants Vs Zombies (more of a strategy type tower defense game but still tons of fun), and the Turbo Pizza trilogy of games (Turbo Pizza, Turbo Subs, and Turbo Fiesta).
