    • The only difference is between these two Cinchs is the square and circle hole By: Janna L (20-Apr-15) Helpful Answer? Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Yes, the difference is just round or square holes BUT, I find that they look very different depending on what wires you use. I own both because o-wires look really good with square holes and spiral wires look great with round holes. Just something to consider. By: Kailo (18-Sep-21) Helpful Answer? Yes  |  No Thank you! • I'm trying to find out if it's is possible to match a 4:1 pitch binding with this binder, even if it requires a little tweeking in how you punch. (I.E. punch your first set with the holes 1/2" apart and then move paper and punch in between your first set, thus making your holes 1/4" apart when finished.) I have numerous other reasons for wanting this tool, but this is my primary and if I can't get it to fit this specific need, then I have to prioritize my purchases, lol. I am basically needing to find a punch or binding system that can be used to recreate a metal spiral coil binding similar to school notebooks and similar projects (Erin Condren notebooks/planners) even if it requires a little creative thinking or user "hacks." Theexact measuments I am attempting to mimic are:

4 punches per 1" (starting from outside edge of first and ending at outside edge of the fifth hole) spaced approximately 1/4" apart

If it is not possible with this binder and any other users can recommend a consumer grade product with needed capabilties, please let me know! Thanks in advance. :) By: apostrophic (25-Jan-16) Helpful Question? Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • No, you would not be able to punch holes 1/4" apart with this machine because although the holes are 1/2" apart, they have a slight border. So cutting any closer isn't possible.

Hope this helps! By: We R Memory Keepers (26-Jan-16) Helpful Answer? Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

I read a review elsewhere that complained that you only can make large bindings with this and not smaller brag-book size (say 4 inches on the binding edge). Is this true? • The original is pink and black. If you look on YouTube for tutorial videos you will see some with the original in it. You will notice in the scrapbook.com tutorial that the binding closer on the back has been revamped on the version 2. You no longer need a tool to close smaller bindings. I hope this helps. What is the size of the hole punched? 1/4"? Can you use it to punch 2-3 holes for ring binders? By: User (14-Jul-14) Helpful Question? Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • At least with the Cinch 2, the holes are 1/4" and, diameter wise, seem to fit okay with standard binder rings. However, it would take very careful measuring and placement to get the holes aligned properly. The default pattern does not line up very well with a standard 3-ring binder.
